Content Warnings
This book has been written in a way that I followed my characters lead, seeing where they would take me. It’s dark at times, with moments of sorrow, loss, and heartache, yet lighter moments too.
Knowing this, I am mindful that certain themes in this book might be difficult for some readers.
These include signs of depression and moments of self-harm in one character, who, because of circumstances does reference to unalive themselves. I have recently been told as well, that the end gets a little gory in parts for those who don’t like that.
With another character, there are a couple of spicy scenes in the book. These are on chapter 16, A New Reign and 21 Allies. If you don’t like high spice, go ahead, and start reading both these chapters, but skip to the next one when those scenes come up (you’ll know when you reach them). Although I do recommend reading the last 5 paragraphs of Allies, as there is some key detail for the rest of the book! Sorry I cannot be more specific with page numbers, but depending on the format you are reading this in, I don’t want to accidentally give readers the wrong pages to stop or start at.
